Baked Scallop Recipe

Baked scallop recipe is a seafood delicacy. The first thing you should remember about any type of seafood is that you will not have to cook it for as long as other types of foods. Scallops are typically found on the East coast of the United States, and are harvested using traditional methods. Most of us who are shopping for scallops to place in this baked scallop recipe will find them in the frozen food section of our favorite supermarket. They can often be found in ranges of 100 scallops to a pound to 30 to a pound and are sweet and tender to the taste.

There are many techniques that are used in the preparation of scallops, from breading and tossing into hot oil, to baking them up into a delicious pan of baked scallops with mushrooms. Regardless of the way you prepare scallops, you can be sure that they will be a hit. After you have satisfied your family’s appetite for this delicacy, you may want to offer them at your next dinner party.



INGREDIENTS

7 tbsp butter

1/2 cup bread crumbs

3 cloves garlic (minced)

2 tbsp onion (minced)

1/4 cup parsley (chopped)

2 tbsp white wine

2 tbsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp pepper

2 tbsp onion (chopped)

1 1/2 lbs bay scallops

8 oz mushrooms

DIRECTIONS

1. In a bowl combine a mixture of 4 tbsp butter, bread crumbs, garlic, onions, parsley, wine, lemon juice, salt and pepper and chill for a least 1 hour.

2. Preheat oven to 450f and butter 1 1/2 quart casserole pan with 1 tbsp butter.

3. In a large sauce pan melt remaining butter 2 tbsp over medium heat. Cook chopped onions for 2 minutes until tender. Add scalops and mushroms and cook briefly.

4. Place scallop mixture evenly in pan and arrange bread crumb mixture over scallops. Bake until butter is hot and bubby serve immediately.
